We have four spacious rooms spread over two floors. Each room has been carefully designed to meet the children’s growing needs and to provide a safe and stimulating environment whilst still having a home away from home feel. Each room has access to the garden which enables them to easily explore the outdoor area throughout the day.

The Cubs

(3 months – 18 months)

The Cubs room is situated on the ground floor and is the base for our youngest group. The room is open and spacious and has been purposely designed for young babies. It has its own kitchenette so the staff are able to prepare your child’s bottles and feeds as and when they need

them. We also have a separate sleep room with individual cots where children can sleep according to their home routines without being disturbed.

The room is spacious and airy with bifold doors that open on to our newly landscaped garden. The room is full of fun and interactive resources that are age appropriate, including sensory play, mirror play and treasure baskets.

The room is fully furnished with all the equipment needed for the different stages of your babies journey, including highchairs, play mats, bouncers, all the way through to a ball pit and small soft play.

The Teddies

(Teddies 1 18 months – 2 years)
(Teddies 2 2 years – 3 years)

The Teddies room is located on our ground floor and is home to our two Teddies groups, Teddies 1 and Teddies 2. Teddies 1 is our younger group and Teddies 2 is our older group. The room is bright and airy and has bifold doors enabling the children to free flow from the indoor to our newly planned garden.

The room has been purposely designed to strengthen your child’s learning and development and is all easily accessible for the children. The tables are low level to help encourage the children to be independent during meal times and the toys are all at the children’s level as we promote a child-centred approach to learning.

The children have access to a range of different resources, including water and messy play, marking making areas, role play, story books, small world toys and sensory activities, to ensure we are giving them every opportunity to explore a variety of stimulating experiences.

We carry out many adult led activities with both the groups throughout the day but also allow for child initiated play where the children learn and explore their independence and discover the world around them through play.

The Bears

(3-5 years)

The Bears (Pre-school) is home to our eldest group and is situated on the first floor in a lovely large, open classroom. Here in the Bears group the days become slightly more structured and we begin to help get the children ready for that next chapter in their little lives, starting school! We work closely with each child helping them be prepared and

excited for the transition to school, whilst also ensuring everything we do is fun, engaging and playful.

Throughout the day the children will have access to all areas of the classroom, including the literacy area, the mark making area, construction play, mathematical play and a vast variety of messy play! We also have a quiet calming cosy corner for the children when they need time to relax.

We promote lots of independence in the Bears group in a range of ways, including serving their own food, pouring their own drinks, choosing their own snacks, helping with the set up of new activities and participating in tidying away. All of which will hold them in good stead when starting school.
